MINUTES FROM THE N.J.PT.H.A. November 15, 2005 MEETING

Meeting was held at the home of Tom and Diane Harrell in Pitman, NJ. Meeting was called to order by Marjorie Moser at 7:30 P.M. Those in attendance were Mary Kensler, John Moser, Marjorie Moser, Diane Harrell, Tom Harrell, Robert Boddy, Cindy Boddy, Tom Binns, Leslie Seidel, Betty Lou Marter, Fran Lallo, Julie Bishop, Pat Murphy, and Kathy Comley.

●MINUTES FROM THE October 10^th General Membership Meeting - A Motion was made by Mary Kensler to accept the minutes as posted on the Website. Seconded by Pat Murphy – all in favor.

●TREASURER’S REPORT: John advised all bills paid after the last show – we have a balance of $4783.04. Thanks to all for saving costs – John also indicated that

• Contracts are out for all judges.
• 46 horses paid out $13,800 for New Jersey Breed

●BILLS – None presented to be paid.

●CORRSPONDENCE –

1. Complaint from Pat and Wes was addressed at the meeting

• Need to have Dottie Allen to interpret the date for Commemorative Superior Achievement Award qualifications. Should the date be changed or should the commemorative be removed.
• Since Certificates use ROMs, they will not be included separately
• Pinto judges are trained on all the horse types.
• It is suggested that any active member is encouraged to suggest; by the end of September of the current show year; future judges to be invited to judge at our shows. All entries will be considered.

2. Walmart donation letter

· Letter to be used to get donations for End of Year banquet

· Show schedule for 2006 are

§ September 2-3

· Show schedule – Approved by all – motion by Pat Murphy and second by Cindy Boddy

· Entry form approval is tentative and to be revisited after the fair grounds contract is received. A motion was made by Tom Binns that if any rate increases occur in relation to the fair contract that changes may have to be made to the Show Entry form. Motion seconded by Pat Murphy. – Approved by all.

●BANQUET COMMITTEE – Banquet is January 15, 2006 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Scotland Run Country Club - form is available on the web site.

• Request was made to bring bottles for the basket of cheer (raffle)
• Choice of three entrees this year, this year a choice of crab cakes was added.

●HORSE COUNCIL ADVISORY – NONE

●EQUESTRIAN OF THE YEAR – WAS DISCUSSED. 10 girls participated;

• It was asked if it would be considered to move the Equestrian of the Year to the Superior Achievement banquet; (Dottie Allen)
• Since Ashley Nolasco represented our Club for the Equestrian of the Year Award, we have requested Ashley to give her presentation at our Banquet.

●NEW BUSINESS

….Scholarship….. Phil Sandusky scholarship applications are available online at
http://www.pinto.org or by calling (405) 491-0111 ext. 208.– there are two

winners every year – application due by January 1, 2006
